The Mona Canina

The Mona Canina

Hi there. I'm so pleased to show you my latest painting now that it's finished. I've added a vase of apple blossom flowers and stonework lettering which reads 'CANINA' - the Latin word for dog. Thus I have rechristened it 'The Mona Canina'! Let me know what you think.

If you'd like to see how the painting came about, please visit my website at www.benjablue.com. Alternatively you can join my Facebook page at www.facebook.com/kellyarcherpetportraits .

Wheelhouse Dogs

Here is the finished watercolour painting which has gone to get mounted before delivery to the client.

Unfortunately this will be the last commission on my easel for at least two months due to the house move, but in our new place I will have my own dedicated art room with the addition of Woden and Thor the degus and Bebs the rat in one corner.  I can see that not much painting will getting done when they join me in my art haven!

Wheelhouse Dogs

My other paintings are currently on hold whilst I work on this commission of two old greyhounds and their ginger feline companion who all live on a houseboat!  I imagine that must be an interesting way to live.

Also, we are currently in the process of moving house, so if I don't get round to blogging too often in the next couple of months you will understand why I'm sure!

Pepe le Peu

Hi there, here is my 'secret' commission, which is no longer a secret as it was a Christmas present for a client's husband.  I'm really pleased as I was told the recipient loved it.

Lady Blue

I have started another painting of Jemima reclining on a blue cushion, and I thought I'd give you a sneak preview of how it is coming along.  However, she will have to go on the backburner for a little while as I have a secret commission to undertake which I will eventually be able to post here when the recipient recieves it as a gift.
